MY NAME IS LARISSA

first opened my eyes in 1991.
born in são paulo. always drawn to the outdoors.
mother to one human.
and to cats, a few.

ever since i was a kid, i've thought in images.
if i can't picture it, i haven't understood it yet.

to this day, i come home with things i find on the street. i collect objects, move them around, create scenes, make up meaning. a lot started there.

professionally, i've been to many places and done many things. including client services and production, where i learned about structure, organization and communication. and how much happens before anything takes shape.

but i found my place where things hadn't taken shape yet.

today, i work with what's already there.
i observe, select and build narratives from the pieces.

image, text, rhythm, order, context.
on their own, things say one thing.
together, they can say something entirely different.

that's where i work.
